Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion Review

Before I get into this review, I just wanted to mention this isn’t a sponsored post. However, sponsored or not, all opinions are always my own and are based on how the product performed on me.

This product actually came in my Glossybox a couple of months ago. I think it could have been in my August box but I could be wrong. This particular product I am using is a sample, the full size version contains 236ml and costs £8.99.

This moisturising lotion aims to hydrate dry and sensitive skin. It claims to help maintain the skin’s natural barrier. It also claims to sooth and soften the skin with immediate results.

I’m not entirely sure if this product is aimed at body or face but I just chose to assume it was okay to use this on both body and face. I have an extremely dry t-zone, so dry to the point foundation actually looks flaky around my nose and in the centre of my forehead. Because of how bad my skin has been recently with dryness, blackheads and breakouts. I decided that applying this to my face to give it a fair review, by working on some really dry skin so it can show what it’s got.

The first thing I noticed when I first applied the product to my hand was that it is actually fragrance free. I usually like my moisturisers to have some scent to them but since this one aims to aid sensitive skin too, I can understand why the brand chose to make this a fragrance free product.

Does it actually do what it claims to do? Yes, it actually really does. I was actually really impressed with this because most moisturisers I’ve purchased that stated they provided the skin with immediate results ended up being the ones that I had to use over and over again for weeks before noticing any change in my skin. This made my skin feel super smooth and soft, even in the usual extremely dry areas. I was able to notice a change in my skin as soon as the product had dried on my face. I then took a look at my face once again 6 hours after applying the product for the first time and the change was even more obvious then.
I can definitely feel my skin very hydrated and it looks healthier too. These are definitely the sort of results I am used to seeing after weeks and weeks of applying a moisturiser twice a day. I was really surprised this lotion worked so well instantly. Usually you would actually be able to see the flakes of dry skin around my nose and forehead but with one application, the skin is just smooth.

I do feel like due to having such dry skin at the moment, I will need to apply this regularly to maintain the awesome results, which is to be expected. I can’t actually find anything negative to say about this product. So far, so good.

Have you ever tried this beauty? How did it work for you?
